Inaba NAOTO 1960-
Born in a family that runs a clay pot workshop that has been running since the beginning of the Meiji era in Iga, Marubashira. He is the fifth generation. He started his career as a potter in 1986. Since then, he has held solo exhibitions at major department stores and galleries in the cities across Japan. In 2004, he held a solo exhibition at Gallery gen, in New york. Based on his idea that "beautiful shapes produce delicious dishes," he use traditional natural soil and make each one by the traditional method. In 2021, His work was ordered by Eleven Madison Park, a Michelin three-star restaurant in New York, as a vessel used for new delivery menu of using clay pot, as one of the new attempts to move to vegan cuisine. His unique style is highly evaluated by the world.

Iga ware
Iga ware is a pottery made in Iga, Mie Prefecture, Japan, and it history as tea pottery can be traced back to the 17th century. Since the area used to be the bottom of Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan, ancient times, one of the features is to use soil with strong fire resistance that can be collected from it.
