Stepping stone
A stone placed on the garden path in a Japanese garden so that you can walk along without stepping on the soil. Usually, flat stones are used and about half of them are buried in the ground. During the Edo period (1603-1867), it became widespread as a characteristic element of Japanese gardens.

Kurama stone
It is diorite which is quarried in Kurama, Kyoto, Japan. It has been a deep connection with the tea ceremony and has been used for tsukubai, garden stones, stepping stones in a tea garden. It features a reddish-brown rusty color.
